Labor Day has been celebrated in the United States since the 1880’s and was signed into law as an official Federal Holiday by President Grover Cleveland in 1894 to celebrate and acknowledge the sacrifices and achievements of the American worker.
It is the blood, sweat and tears of the American worker that has helped America be great and what made Michigan an economic powerhouse in the past and present and for years to come.
So, THANK YOU to all the workers and labors for all you do.
Here in Michigan, Labor Day also represents the unofficial end of summer, a time to close up the northern cabins and have those last BBQ’s by the lake!
So, please have a safe and Blessed holiday weekend!
